Frequently Asked Questions
Is Chiropractic treatment safe?
Chiropractic treatment is a safe, conservative approach to better health and has been helping patients since 1895. Many people have chosen chiropractic as an alternative to back surgery, pain relievers, and muscle relaxers.

If I start chiropractic treatment, do I have to come forever?
No, chiropractic is not meant to get someone hooked forever. Patients often report that their adjustment feels good and that regular adjustments are part of their personal wellness routine. But, it is up to each individual to decide how long they want to benefit from chiropractic care.

Why do you use Electric Stimulation?
Electric Stimulation Therapy relaxes and softens the tissue as well as reduces pain and inflammation.

Do you accept my insurance?

What if I don't have insurance? How much does it cost?

Is Chiropractic treatment appropriate and safe for children?
Yes, chiropractic is appropriate for all ages. Check out our Chiropractic for Children page for more information.

Is it ok to see a chiropractor when I'm pregnant?
Yes, chiropractic care is a natural way to treat back pain during and after pregnancy.

What's the difference between Biofreeze and IcyHot?
Both are counter-irritants which distract the nervous system from pain. Dr. Bonnie prefers Biofreeze over IcyHot because it is easier on the skin and it does not stain clothing.

Will I have to pay a "specialist" copay to come to your office?
In the State of Wisconsin chiropractors are not considered a specialist, so you should be able to pay your regular primary provider copay. However, some people's plans may be written out of a different state, and therefore can sometimes charge a specialist copay. Contact your insurance company to see what your benefits will be. We will also verify your insurance coverage when you come to the office for the first time.
